Hello Market Friends:
The compressors aren’t working yet, but we are going to fill the rinkhouse and garage with a lovely assortment of food and friendly people, and chase grey November away with good cheer. Please note that we have no door-crashing specials or online deals, no canned music or extended hours. We hope you will enjoy coming, and eating good meals in the week ahead as a result.

News from Jennifer at All Sorts Acres: “Just wanted to let everyone know that this week we have a new sheep milk tzatziki! It is super tasty and perfect for cooking or dipping. We will have both sheep milk and yoghurt as well.”

First Fish will be coming, with filets as well as hot or cold-smoked fish wild-caught in the arctic.

Also in attendance this time, Vasile of GreenFlorin, with nuts, dried fruits and excellent oils.

Forbes Wild Foods has wonderful things at this time of year, particularly for mushroom enthusiasts!

Spade & Spoon will be absent, and we are still waiting (impatiently) for Angelos to return from Greece.  To be fair, if you had to help harvest your family’s olives in November, would you rush back?

Alternate-week vendors this time will be Culture City and Everdale. Connor will be standing in for Jenn, and sent this veggie list: “Beets, Bok Choi, Carrots, Cabbage, Cilantro, Collard Greens, Garlic, Kale, Mixed Greens, Onions, Parsnips, Radish, Rutabaga, Squash, and Turnips.”

We don’t have an ATM at the market during the winter, so please aim to come with cash. Some vendors can accept debit or credit, and we do have a ‘Square’ to rescue you if you only have plastic, which reminds me, bring shopping bags, too!
