Yes, September is here – and I’m just thrilled about it! But many of us, I’ve learned, definitely have some mixed notions about this month. And certainly, it does depend on perspective – a student, versus a non-student, for example, may each see September quite differently. Either way, let’s all thank the many incredible teachers out there! 💜
Coronation grapes! – available this week from Reyes Farms.
And for those already missing the hot, lazy days of summer, remember that it’s still here for a couple more weeks. And while September does bring with it, earlier sunsets and (generally) cooler temps, the fall season doesn’t officially start until September 22nd – lots of time yet!
Many of the incredible “treasures” available from Knuckle Down Farm this week.
But ultimately, whether you see this month as “glass half-empty”, or “glass half-full”, hopefully you’ll agree with me, about the amazingness of our local harvest. September (in my view), is definitely a month to just bask in agricultural splendor. And what better place to do that, than at the Dufferin Grove Farmers’ Market this Thursday? No bias on my part, of course.
Fall peppers from Sundance Harvest – hot and fresh!
Gourmet mushrooms (and microgreens) from Noki Farms.
Vendor News..

Spade & Spoon is finally back at the market this week! They are only with us once per month, so Blythe regrets having missed last month’s visit. Let’s give her a big welcome back this Thursday!
The crew at TC Tibetan Momos, is also back this week – serving up lots of delicious momos and noodles, as well as their incredible chilli sauce.
Planticia Foods is another bi-weekly vendor, returning this week.
And this week, Bitter Better also returns to the market – once again offering a promotion! Their HTB noodles, (Himalayan Tartary Buckwheat), are “buy 2, get 1 FREE sauce”.
And please be aware that House of Tigernut continues to be at the market – but just in a different location. You will now find them “on the grass”, near Rogers Ranch and Kalmplex Snax. Feel free to check with the info table, if you can’t find them.
And finally, please note that Mr Macaw, (our new coffee vendor), is away this week – but will return on September 12th. David loved the response he received, and can’t wait to return!
Tasty treats from Robinson Bread.

Cherry tomatoes from NIth Valley Organics. Still fresh and local – and still here at the market!
Incredible Challah, from Johnson Family Bakery
Highlights From Last Week..
Hooray for Papalote! They once again, amazed market-goers last week, with their incredible talent – such a treat.
And a big thanks to the crew of Cycle Toronto! Skylar and Joell (left), were notably pleased with the caring service they received last week.
And a big thanks to all of you wonderful market shoppers – from the crew st “Sopsicles Toronto“. Melissa, pictured here, extends appreciation to the Dufferin Grove community, for the warm welcome they received. They did monthly pop-ups throughout the summer, and look forward to returning (at a future date.) 💜
Thanks everyone, and see you Thursday,
-Nicole
