Paul Magder, Fern Mosoff and others started the Toronto Repair Café in 2013 at Skills for Change on St Clair West, and it has become a roving city-wide success. They’ve helped hundreds of people repair items, promoting a culture of ‘if its broken, repair it’ rather than throwing it out, and have diverted hundreds of items from landfill. Bring along an item in need of fixing, and one of their volunteers will have a go at repairing it--free of charge!

Potluck Supper in the Park for Three Sisters Gardeners (and Everyone Else!)

Gardeners who grew the Three Sisters (corn, beans and squash) and heirloom tomatoes brought to the market in spring by Slow Food Toronto are going to gather to share their harvests and exchange growing notes. All Welcome! Bring something to share from your kitchen or from market cooks! Supper will begin at about 5:30, in the Dan’s Table Picnic Area.
