Dufferin Grove Organic Farmers market has been in year-round operation since 2002. Our mission is to connect small-scale local food makers and growers with the folks who want their great food. We are so grateful that during a pandemic, where the need for safe, locally sourced food has greatly increased, we have managed to continue. Thank you for sticking with us.
Our expenses have increased dramatically in order to keep our team and you all safe and distanced. We have to factor in the cost of packing supplies, credit card fees, and the many hours of work throughout the week which the online market requires. The labour involved is significant and we believe in paying our team a reasonable wage, not a minimum wage.
If you can make a one-time contribution, we will feel that support immediately. We have not recovered from our start-up costs yet, but we will with your generosity.
