A sharp jelly, these beautiful berries peserve well and retain a nice level of tartness. The berries are easy to gather but are only around for a short while every year so we make them last by making this fantastic jelly.

Elderflower SyrupĀ is made from the blue black elder (Sambucus nigra)Ā that grows across much of Canada. Elderflower can be Ā used in baking, by adding to a cake mix, or drizzled on ice cream, custard, or yogurt. A tablespoon added to fruit salad gives it an unforgettable bouquet, and will elevate fruit that is slightly under ripe. It is also delicious on crepes or waffles.
