Urban Harvest
An early-maturing northern variety bearing sweet, oblong fruits. It was introduced in 1902. Plants set 3-4 fruits each of up to 1 1/2 kilos each. Best picked smaller though for more production and better taste. Start indoors 8 weeks before last frost for a head start and better production. Eggplant plants have lovely pale purple flowers and make a very pretty addition to the edible landscape. Full sun, 74 days, Heirloom 50 seeds.

Introduced 1988 by Harris Moran. It has bright red 'flames' on a looseleaf. Very early to mature and slow to bolt; a fast mover for markets demanding unique vegetables.ā Flame is a relatively recent introduction. They will grow in light shade. Good companion to cabbage, carrots, chives, onions and beets. 0.5g/ Approx. 400 seeds.

High yielding and early, this heavy producer boasts 4-5" pods with up to 9 sweet, plump peas in each, hence the name. Short vines about 20" high. Resistant to fusarium root rot and wilt. Grow on a trellis or along a fence. Harvest continuously when ripe to encourage greater yields. Peas are high in B vitamins, important for heart health. Also high in anti-oxidants.
