Sorry For The “Teaser” Last Week!
Some of you probably saw (in the last newsletter), that there was to be a performance, by Corpus Dance Projects at the market last week. But as you may be able to tell, (from the sad faces of the performers), that unfortunately did not happen. Alas, “mother nature” had other plans – womp, womp.

Due to the powerful winds we had last Thursday, along with the dedicated work of a well-organized “ant mob”, one of our beloved park trees was viciously taken down. (Eventually having to be fully cut down by Parks & Forestry.) So because all of this happened very near to where the “performance area” was (to be), CORPUS felt it was best for them to postpone. They are touring now, but are hoping to be back at Dufferin in September, doing the show then. But I’ll of course, keep you posted.

And to the woman and child who were sitting on the park bench, (directly under the tree), when all of this happened, so glad you weren’t hurt, and that you’re both doing ok.

“Happy tomatoes” available from Nith Valley Organics.
Friday Night Supper
Come and have dinner in the park! Happening every Friday, (in Dufferin Grove Park), starting at 6pm – and organized by the City of Toronto. Just $7 – both meat and vegetarian options available.

Thanks everyone – hope you have a fruit-tacular day!
