Wowee!! Weāre already at the last market for 2024! And what a year itās been. Thanks for being there right along with us! š (Our feature photo is of Swedish Knots from Johnson Family Bakery – yum!)

So Iāll first mention our holiday dates, once again. This Thursday, December 19th, is our last market of 2024. Our first market after that, is January 9th, 2025.There are no markets on December 26th, or January 2nd, 2025. Weāll miss you!

Weād Love Your Support!
With this being the āseason of givingā, please consider adding your favourite farmersā market to your āgiving listā, and make a donation. Many of you are probably aware of the hard times the Dufferin Grove market has faced – (particularly in the last few years.) With the market not having a āhome baseā (for the latter part of 2023), and early this year, significant challenges were created. And though we now have this wonderfully-renovated, cozy new clubhouse, sadly the marketās operating fees have increased considerably. If you can make a donation this season, it will greatly help the market. No amount is too small. Your funds will help with:
*General operations (to keep vendor fees low, and staff wages fair)
*Community outreach (helps with marketing, promotion and recruitment)
*Arts & Training (including musician honourariums, and providing workshops open to community members)
*Special Events (including community celebrations, along with one-day events and festivals)
*Community support (to assist, where possible, low-income members with food affordability)
Click here to make a donation.

Fresh local greens from Plan B Organics, (still available!)
Another way to support, is to consider joining one of our committees. Do you have expertise, or enthusiasm (regarding the market) that youād like to share? Volunteers are always welcome. If you love the notion of bridging community, and farm-fresh food, all within accessible spaces like the Dufferin Grove market, weād love to hear from you! Please send a note to: info@dufferingrovemarket.ca. Thanks for helping us make the market better.

Thereās still time folks! If youāre in need of a turkey for the holidays, Nith Valley Organics has you covered. To place your order for a frozen turkey, send an email to Nathan (pictured), at info@nithvalleyorganics.ca.

More great news! Spade & Spoon is finally back at the market this week. So whether itās maple syrup, jams, pickled things, (and more), talk to Blythe this week, about the amazing gifts that these products can make!

Also back at the market, is Urban Harvest. Coletteās amazing variety of honey soaps, essential oils, and organic seed packets, would be great to stuff any stocking with!

And just a reminder that the fine selections of Monforte Dairy are available every week at the market. We even have samples!

And once again I state, āthereās still timeā! (But not much.) This is sadly, the last week for Rogers Ranch, (at Dufferin Grove.) Stock up while you can, on Daveās incredible grass-fed beef selections, pork, and eggs! Full vendor list here.
A Tasty, Warm Treat..

Last week, Dave (pictured), from ChocoSol, poured me a delicious cup of his hot chocolate – yum, right? Absolutely. But then I thought, what if I add āa smidgeā of that incredible Tigernut beverage, from House of Tigernut? Wow – curiosity definitely paid off! I WILL be having that combo again.
Something To Do Over The Holidays..

If youāve ever been interested in hip hop culture, and enjoy going to the AGO, this may be the thing for you. And – you can support a market vendor! (Kalmplex), pictured.
The Culture: āHip Hop And Contemporary Art In The 21st Centuryā is at the Art Gallery of Ontario (on the 5th floor), until April, 2025. Itās currently open to AGO members, and will be open to the public on January 7th 2025. The first Wednesdays of the month are free from 6-9pm.
Thanks For Supporting Our Craft Market!
This past Sunday, December 15th, we hosted a holiday craft market, right here, (where the farmersā market is held.) Such a fun time!

Erin George (right), and mega-talented daughter, Quinn – adorable!

Ptah Creations, with incredible handmade jewelry, made from coconut shells.

And a big thank you to Andrea Kuzmich, for bringing beautiful music into the market space.
See you Thursday – and happy (almost) solstice! āļø
