Back in the Park – and OUTSIDE! Come and Support Your Market! ????

Hi folks, and “Happy December”! And yes – you read that right! This Thursday, (December 7th), the market returns to the park, but OUTDOORS! Don’t miss the excitement, and come and support your wonderful vendors! We’ll be in Dufferin Grove Park, near the skating rinks, but directly on the basketball court. – still 3-7pm. Let’s hope for mild temps and sunshine! haha???? 

And if you’re wondering, “why outside? and not inside?”, here goes.. So unfortunately, (as you may already be aware), our indoor space is still not ready. This is the clubhouse (at the north-end of Dufferin Grove park.) And our temporary location, last month at St Anne’s Church, was just that – temporary. Hopefully, we’ll be in the clubhouse soon – but for now, here we are.

But hey! Outdoors (in December), is not so scary – I promise! As you can see (from the feature photo), our beautiful skating rinks offer outdoor recreation for all! But if skating’s not your thing, just stop by and celebrate these amazing community heroes, also known as Dufferin Grove vendors! And while you’re at it, maybe spend a buck or two, (if you please. ????)

And if you’re super-curious about the “new and improved” clubhouse, great news! There is some indoor access. The indoor corridor (directly across from the skating rinks), is available to us – with a seating area and washrooms. So no more porta potties – yay! Have I sold you yet?

So please come out and support! Our wonderful vendors love their market too, and can’t wait to see all of you!!

“What for” you ask? Well so many things..

For one, our brief stint at St Anne’s was a huge success! We had three wonderful weeks in November – so a big thanks to all of you, who came out to support! And last week, we ran a flash-fundraiser for “Giving Tuesday” (November 28th.) Many of you gave generous donations, and some even wrote letters of support to our city councillor, (Alejandra Bravo – Councillor_Bravo@Toronto.ca.)

So thanks again everyone! Let’s keep showing everyone why (despite numerous obstacles), Dufferin Grove is still the best farmers’ market in the city! ???? Bias? Me? No way! haha
