Go Team!

Go Team!

Hello Market Friends:
We’ve got a pretty full house again! Both the garage and the rinkhouse will be humming, as Plan B, ChocoSol, Spade & Spoon, Monforte Diary, All Sorts Acres, and Shared Harvest return this week.

At the park, Heidrun (with help from Carley) will be busy baking rye, olive onion, and potato-rosemary sourdough breads, multigrain, kamut, cranberry-walnut and baguette artisan loaves, and rosemary, multigrain and raisin Italian ones, as well as rice-flour bread.

Pine River’s Bob Felhazi hasn’t been able to get to the market for a while, but our friendly nut and dried fruit vendor, Vasile (Green Florin), is lending a hand to bring Bob’s wonderful vegetables to Dufferin. Hurray for teamwork, especially in winter.

Jennifer from All Sorts Acres is promising to have some of her delicious Shepherd’s Pies.  Pair one with Spade & Spoon’s Hot n’ Sweet Ketchup or pickles to get to comfort-food heaven.

Yes, it’s January, but we have a remarkable selection of salad greens from Kind Organics and Marvellous Edibles.

DeFloured will be absent for three weeks, returning on January 31st.

Stop by the market table to say hi and get your Loyal Eaters card stamped by yours truly, Nicole or Hugh, our market volunteer. There’s a handsome new issue of Edible Toronto available (free of charge) and a good supply of donated bags in case you forget to bring your own. You can also access cash (from your bank account, not ours, that is) if you run short.
See you at the market!
Anne Freeman
