Hello Market Friends:
Canceling the market last week was unprecedented, and we hope not to be repeated! A handful of brave folks turned up at the rinkhouse, and we’d be delighted to recommend that they sign up for the market news so we can reach them if ever we need to.
This time, we are digging out from under, and keeping our fingers crossed for a temporary reprieve from the stormy weather so everyone can re-stock pantries and refrigerators — and share the love!
What’s Valentine’s Day without chocolate? Happily, we don’t have to answer that, because ChocoSol is coming this week!
DeFloured will have lots of special treats, and Bees Universe is back, so you could always get some honey for your honey, or nuts for your favourite nut from Green Florin.
Great news from Jennifer at All Sorts Acres: “As long as I can get out of my driveway, I’ll be bringing lots of goodies for Valentine’s Day! For at least one more market I will have stewing lamb, some ground, loin chops, leg chops, shoulder chops, liver, heart, kidney, and lamb bacon.
This week I’m bring our new sheep milk kefir! It’s a small batch, but we have been asked for it, and we wanted to give it a try. I’ll have yogurt, milk, and our tangy cream cheese in 2 sizes as well.
I’ll also have wool insoles, dishmats, cleaning pads, and of course felting kits.”
We expect a full house, but of course, everything is subject to change in this era.
See you at the market!
Anne Freeman
