Coming to Market This Week?

Coming to market this week?

Last week, to celebrate Lunar New Year, we put market buck vouchers in lucky red envelopes and gave them away to random visitors. Nicole decided to get more bang for our lucky bucks by asking recipients a bit about why they come to the market. Here are a few of their answers:

Shawn: lives in the community, and highly appreciates an all-year organic market
Kasia: having access to actual farmers and info about food directly
Janine: it’s close by, it’s organic, and she “always gets a laugh from Rodrigo!”
Belinda: the farmers! (she said with love, and then donated her bucks :))
Herschel: the nutrient quality, and the social aspect
Skylar: loves knowing her farmers, lives in the community – “Dufferin Grove feels like a magical small village”
Hugh: buying local and organic
Monica: likes the farmers and the produce, and comes from “far” to access both

Must-have items included:Coming to market this week
Marnie: Angelo’s spanikopitas, and Seth’s fiddleheads (when he has them)
Millie: the bread – of course!
Julie: De-Floured’s gluten-free treats and pastries
Sandy: the caraway multi-grain bread!!

What brings you to the market–or doesn’t? If we haven’t seen you for a while, are there things keeping you away? Your feedback is always helpful.

Here’s our list of vendors for this week. Note that Forbes Wild Foods will be absent.
Will we see you at the market?
